UPGRADES
R8XXX SYSTEM UPGRADE
The following table contains links to all the files that you will need to update your R8XXX unit. Note that the system version can be located by starting up the R8XXX and pressing the “Settings” button and then selecting “About”; it is the first number listed in the Versions section of the About screen.
These updates should be applied while the unit is plugged in to an uninterruptible power supply (UPS). If a power failure occurs during an update, the R8XXX may have to be sent back to Freedom Communication Technologies for factory update.
Upgrades are applied in lowest to highest version order without skipping intermediate versions. It is essential to download and carefully follow the associated instructions published with each upgrade.
If you have firmware version 4.1.0.0, you have the most current version and do not need to update your R8XXX firmware at this time.
